Day4, Camino Walk, Apúlia to Viana do Castelo

Miles Walked-20.3. Time-9h35m. Weather-Sunny, 70’s w/ strong winds around Viana do Castelo. Started along the coast, viewing the remains of old windmills. Moving inland along the Coastal Camino route. Walking along cobble stone streets, passing through small villages and the beautiful country side. Stopping at little rode side cafe’s for breakfast and rest breaks. Stopping to view the many magnificent churches along our route and getting our stamp (verification). Then it was into the wooded forest section, passing two small waterfalls then crossing over a river on a little old ancient stone bridge, then up & down up & down finally reaching the church at the top. Then it was back into the woods, walking on a semi muddy road. I called it the Eucalyptus tree fern forest, very pretty. Reaching our next church @ 3 pm with 13 miles done & 8 miles still to go, Maryann decided to take a Uber to the hotel ( her knee was starting to bother her). So I marched on, passing through small farming villages, winding cobble stone roads, old stone walls covered in vines, at was awesome to say the least. Finally reaching the the long bridge that spans the Limia River, with winds wanting to blow me off the bridge!!!. Surviving the bridge crossing I finally made it to my hotel, legs and feet were tired but I was pumped for how of an awesome day it had been. Pics to follow.
