Camino Walk, 3 days in Santiago de Compostela

 No official Camino miles walked, but have been averaging 6-5 miles per day exploring Santiago de Compostela. Weather has been getting hotter each day, into 90’s yesterday, and humid. We meet our new Camino friends, Gary & Nancy in the big plaza, in front of the Cathedral when they arrived on Saturday. It’s fun to watch people’s expressions when they first arrive at the Cathedral, so many different reactions, even witnessed two wedding proposals. Visited about two dozen churches, monastery’s and anything that looked old. We did a rooftop tour of the Cathedral, awesome, took in a couple of museums, even saw the famous Portico of Glory, located in the foyer of the Cathedral. We did attend one Catholic Mass. We were hoping to see the swinging of the Butafumiero, but the two times we attempted to see it the church was full and we didn’t  get to see it, oh well, I’ll try next yr.
